US President Donald Trump on Saturday referred to as off a visit to a World Warfare I US navy cemetery in France due to unhealthy climate, the White Home stated.
After talks with French counterpart Emmanuel Macron, Trump cancelled his go to to Belleau Wooden battlefield and cemetery 80 kilometres (50 miles) northeast of Paris due to “scheduling and logistical difficulties attributable to the climate,” his administration stated.
He and his spouse Melania have been to have flown to the location of a 1918 battle led by US Marines towards German forces.
A US delegation led by Chief of Employees Normal John Kelly and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Employees Normal Joe Dunford will go to the cemetery as an alternative, the White Home added.
