A person has been arrested after two suspected bombs had been present in an empty flat in north-west London.
Two gadgets had been present in a property being refurbished in Craven Park, Harlesden, on Wednesday morning.
Close by flats had been evacuated and roads had been closed as specialist officers performed additional searches, however the space has now been deemed protected.
The 48-year-old man has been held on suspicion of an offence opposite to the Explosives Substances Act.
He stays in custody at a south London police station.
A counter-terror probe was launched after the gadgets had been discovered, however Scotland Yard mentioned on Thursday it didn’t imagine the suspect had “hyperlinks to any terrorist organisations, or that there are any ongoing public questions of safety”.
